India has been all over the place regarding the regulation of cryptocurrency. It was long rumored it would be banned within the country. This was put on hold as a bill was stopped.
That has not prevented the Central Bank from continuing its assault on cryptocurrency. The Reserve Bank of India is now raising the prospect that stablecoins are a threat to the Rupee.

Bitcoin 'Santa rally' pauses at $51.5K as funds bet on a sub-$60K BTC price for January 2022
The visions of $100,000 Bitcoin by the end of the year are now in the rear view mirror. This did not prevent the cryptocurrency market from going on a minor run the last few days.
Bitcoin crossed the $50,000 level, giving many hope the bull is back in order. It did, however, stall out at $51,500. Many traders believe that we will see a sub-$60,000 Bitcoin by the end of January.

Bukele 'Has Not Responded' to Claims of Bitcoin Vanishing From Citizens' Wallets: Report
What is going on with Bitcoin in El Salvador.? Many are touting the success of the project, mostly people outside the country.
That does not mean there are not issues with what is taking place. People within El Salvador are reporting their Bitcoin is mysteriously disappearing from their Chivo wallets. Over 50 people made the claim so far. The government has not responded.
