El Salvador is currently the only nation that accepts Bitcoin as legal tender. That might soon change according to a former member of Parliament.
Lord Fusitu’a recently tweeted about how he believes the Kingdom of Tonga will pass a bill that makes Bitcoin legal tender. This is something that will likely take place in the Fall. This would add a second nation as those who recognize Bitcoin as legal tender.

European Commission Selects IOTA For EU Blockchain Development
IOTA was selected for the next phase of the EU’s blockchain development. The European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) is being designed to help cross-border payment service across Europe. IOTA will be competing against 4 contractors.

It seems the busybodies in Washington DC cannot help themselves. As if there is not enough going on in the world, Congress is now scheduling a hearing over the energy use of cryptocurrency.
